My neighbor makes these for every single block party and the platter is always empty in minutes. Only 4 ingredients to make the most addictive bite ever.

This Southern 4-Ingredient Bacon Stuffed Celery is a magnificent, low-carb, and incredibly flavorful appetizer masterpiece. By combining crisp, refreshing celery stalks with a rich filling of smoky bacon, sharp cheddar, and smooth cream cheese, you create a beautiful textural contrast between crunch and creaminess. Perfect for game days, summer picnics, or quick afternoon snacks, it delivers premium, crowd-pleasing results with zero cooking required for the assembly.

Southern 4-Ingredient Bacon Stuffed Celery – Ingredients

  • 8 celery stalks, washed and trimmed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Step-by-Step Directions:

Step 1: Crisp and Cool the Bacon: Cook the 6 slices of bacon in a skillet over medium heat until they are deeply browned and very crisp. Transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain thoroughly. Once the slices have cooled completely, crumble them into tiny, uniform bits.

Tip: Ensure the bacon crumbles are completely cool before mixing! Putting warm bacon directly into the cream cheese will melt the dairy fat, causing the filling to lose its stable, spreadable structure and become greasy.

Step 2: Blend the Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, the cooled crumbled bacon, and the 1/2 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Use a sturdy spoon or silicone spatula to mash and stir the ingredients together until everything is evenly distributed.

Step 3: Stuff the Stalks: Lay your 8 washed and dried celery stalks flat on a cutting board. Using a small butter knife or the back of a spoon, scoop up the cream cheese mixture and spread it directly into the center groove of each stalk, filling the cavity generously from one end all the way to the other.

Step 4: Portion and Chill: Using a sharp chef’s knife, cut the filled celery stalks crosswise into neat 3 / to 4 / inch bite-sized pieces. Arrange the stuffed sticks on a serving platter, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve. Serve cold or slightly cool for maximum crunch.
